📌 Introduction
We use too and enough to talk about quantity and degree. They help you express whether something is excessive or sufficient.
Science Tip: “The solution was too acidic for the experiment. We didn’t have enough time to repeat it.”
🔴 “Too” – More Than Needed
Structure with “Too”
too + many/much + noun
- The test was too difficult.
- It’s too late to start the experiment.
- There are too many students in the lab.
- She runs too slowly for the team.
Example: “The water was too hot to drink safely.”
🟢 “Enough” – As Much As Needed
Structure with “Enough”
enough + noun
- The room is big enough for all students.
- He didn’t run fast enough to win.
- We have enough time to finish the lab report.
- There isn’t enough water for the experiment.
Example: “We didn’t have enough data to support our hypothesis.”
