📌 Introduction

We use too and enough to talk about quantity and degree. They help you express whether something is excessive or sufficient.

Science Tip: “The solution was too acidic for the experiment. We didn’t have enough time to repeat it.”

🔴 “Too” – More Than Needed

Too hot to touch

Structure with “Too”

too + adjective/adverb
too + many/much + noun
  • The test was too difficult.
  • It’s too late to start the experiment.
  • There are too many students in the lab.
  • She runs too slowly for the team.

Example: “The water was too hot to drink safely.”

🟢 “Enough” – As Much As Needed

Enough light for growth

Structure with “Enough”

  • The room is big enough for all students.
  • He didn’t run fast enough to win.
  • We have enough time to finish the lab report.
