🌟 Grammar Fun: Can & Can’t 🌟
Welcome to our grammar adventure! Today we’ll learn how to talk about what people can and can’t do!
What Does “Can” Mean?
Can = Able to do something
We use can when someone is able to do something.
Example: “She can swim very well.”
Can’t = Not able to do something
We use can’t when someone is not able to do something.
Example: “He can’t ride a bicycle yet.”
(She is able to swim)
(He is not able to ride a bike)
(They are able to draw)
Asking Questions with “Can”
Can he…? Can she…?
When we want to ask about someone’s ability, we put can at the beginning!
Example: “Can she swim?”
We want to know if he can play
We want to know if she can read
We want to know if they can speak
